Candice McKie is a Project Manager with the Center for Economic Development Research (CEDR) at Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute (EI²).
Her work includes managing and analyzing economic data, developing local economic indices for communities, researching innovative economic development strategies and conducting forecasts for local government. Recently, Candice assisted a university in the creation and development of a strategic plan to launch a new subsidiary organization; assisted a community improvement district to assess their fiscal impact and gain a deeper understanding of their economic profile; worked with a local community to determine the economic impact of a multi-purpose facility; and contributed extensively to a workforce development analysis.
Prior to joining Georgia Tech, Candice worked as a Program Analyst for the Gwinnett County Division of Economic Analysis. During her four years with Gwinnett County, Candice was responsible for conducting research projects; tracking and analyzing economic and demographic data; and reporting trends in internal memorandums and external published newsletters. While at Gwinnett, Candice also constructed econometric models for forecasting revenues and prepared fiscal and economic analyses to inform elected officials’ decision-making processes. Candice holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness and a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Georgia.
