Core Training Areas
AI for the Public Sector
Training focused on how local governments and public organizations can ethically and efficiently integrate generative AI into daily operations. Sessions emphasize risk awareness, responsible use, and practical applications. This training helps teams move from uncertainty to responsible, informed use.
Development Authority and Board Member Training
Foundational training for development authority board members and elected officials. These sessions are designed to comply with GA Code § 36-62A-21(b) (effective July 1, 2025) and strengthen understanding of economic development tools, governance roles, and the mechanics of community growth. Participants lead with a clearer understanding of their roles, responsibilities, and regulatory requirements.
Workforce and Talent Readiness
Targeted training that helps local leaders better understand workforce challenges, employer needs, and talent pipeline strategies. Content is aligned with current labor market realities and local priorities. This training supports more informed conversations with employers and workforce partners.
Related Programs and Partnerships
Our tailored trainings complement broader initiatives such as the Georgia Academy for Economic Development and Georgia AIM. When appropriate, we align training content with these programs to extend learning beyond a single session.
The CEDR Difference
Training is most effective when it reflects real challenges and real constraints. Our approach emphasizes relevance, interaction, and practical application so participants can immediately put their new skills to use.
1. Needs Assessment
We begin by consulting with you to identify specific knowledge gaps and pain points. This shapes the focus, depth, and format of each training.
2. Curriculum Customization
We tailor core modules to reflect local data, regional context, and relevant examples. This ensures the material is applicable rather than generic.
3. Interactive Training Delivery
Trainings are delivered in person or virtually and are designed around learning by doing. Participants engage in group exercises, simulations, and hands-on demonstrations.
4. Post-Course Resources
Participants receive a certificate from CEDR along with a resource toolkit. Guides and follow-up materials support continued learning after the session ends.
